and yet, president obama has unlikely allies, believe it or not, for at least one section of the law. arizona governor brewer who once sued to overturn the law is now so adamant about adopting the medicaid expansion portion, she's vowed to veto any bill that comes across her desk until the gop-led legislature in her state complies. and other republican governors are supporting the medicaid expansion as well, many at odds with their own state legislatures. >>> the tsa is reversing course on its plan to allow small knives on planes. the move comes after lawmakers, airlines, labor unions, law enforcement groups, just about everybody complained on this one. it basically argued the weapons represent a threat to passengers and crew. despite the tsa's position that it's unlikely the small folding knives could be used by terrorists to take over a plane, the agency is no longer pushing forward with the new rules. it had hoped the new rules would allow screeners to focus on more serious threats, like explosives, since the tsa confiscates more than 2,000 small folding knives each and every day.
